It is with thanksgiving and delight that we report what has been taking place in SetFree. In the past year, we have held two training sessions. Because of those training sessions, eight new people have been added to the ministry team. Two of those trained were young women of high school age and one has been through ministry and is being included in ministry as time permits.
In July, it was our privilege to attend the commissioning of the SetFree team in Granbury, Texas. This team of three women and one man are ministering every week at Brazos Covenant Ministry, whose pastor is Merrie Cardin. We anticipate another training session in early 2012 to train more people for this team.
In September, seven team members attended the annual meeting of the International Society of Deliverance Ministers. Because of financial blessings to this ministry, we were able to bless each of these attendees with registration fees and accommodation expense. This conference was held in Oklahoma City, OK, and we heard ministers from across the nation and from other countries speak on topics that are current and pertinent to the ministry of SetFree. So much information is gathered at these meetings that we can incorporate into the daily ministry of the teams.
In October, Margaret and I were commissioned as Pastors; Margaret as Pastor of Personal Ministry, and Pat, as Minister of Healing. We were commissioned by Dr. Tom Schlueter, Pastor and Apostle of Prince of Peace Church. We were set in place with other ministers of Prince of Peace. Since our commissioning, we have begun to participate in the Prince of Peace Strategic Training Center, which includes training in worship, intercession, healing and deliverance. SetFree is responsible for one Saturday every three months for this training. We provide a speaker on healing/deliverance as a one day training session. The goal is to introduce people to these three areas and help them incorporate these teachings into their daily life and the pursuit of bringing the Kingdom life into every realm of our daily walk.
Our commissioning as pastors was also to establish a wider base of influence and to send us out to take SetFree to the marketplace. The goal of this ministry is to establish SetFree in as many areas of the body of Christ as possible. We are doing ministry mainly in the marketplace at present. Margaret and Pat are also currently attending Bethel Church (Bill Johnson, Redding, CA) supernatural School of Ministry via video. We and two other members of our ministry team attend three days of each week. We are blessed to have teams that are ministering with such expertise and faithfulness, that Margaret and Pat have been able to use Friday for visiting pastors, and churches that are interested in ministry teams being established in their churches. We have been contacted by several groups and anticipate training sessions in the coming year. We are also able to schedule visits with our existing teams and give encouragement and guidance as they minister in their communities.
Thankfulness seems like such a small word to express the gratitude we feel for your faithfulness in prayer and giving. It is our desire to bless as many people as possible with the contributions that come to this ministry. Our team of intercessors and our prayer coordinator keep each team member covered in prayer each week of ministry. This is such a vital part of this ministry and is so appreciated by every team member that meets with clients during the week. We have also been privileged to contribute to missionaries in Israel and the United States as well as our local church. We are committed to sowing our seed of tithe into good soil for Kingdom work.
